Budapest deserves quite a few good descriptions starting from chapter 38 of “The Historian”.

This montage is from wikipedia

But to my eyes this one is more evocative with the snow and old buildings across the Danube. The main building is actually the parliament , to quote:

On our side of the river rose the incredible neo-gothic spires and dome pf the Parliament building”.

“And on the opposite side …spires of medieval churches”.
