Hagia Sophia is probably the most famous building in Istanbul. It is also mentioned in Chapter 25.

“And once we drew near it,it was impossible for us not to enter….I craned my head back to see the vast, divine space with its famous whirling domes and arches,its celestial light pouring in, the round shields covered with arabic calligraphy”
